Armorum & Aquila Sarmatians

I got some 28mm Sarmatian Auxilia from Armorum & Auxila, it arrived less three of their horses, but I am promised they will arrive. I painted these, and tried out my new theory for bases modelled on the mossy forest floors in Britannia and Germania.

The Sarmatian Lancers would have to be my favourite Ancient unit - So I have taken the max allowance of three units for my Impetvs MIR army.They were fearsome troops, and in one instance over 5000 of them were taken as payment for peace by Emperor Marcus Aurelius, and dispatched to Britannia.
