Babylon 5: A Call to Arms - Shadows vs army of Light

I played a few more games of ACTA a year or two after I moved into my new place but have just realised I never posted them up. I’m just going to photo-dump these. I think that at this time Chris, Ben, and our late friend Jon all took turns with various forces. This first looks like some Shadows vs the Army of Light ie the first set of models I bought. I got really enthused after this game and went out and bought some more Centauri, Earthforce and Mimbari. Still haven’t painted the Mimbari up, will have to do that. All models are fleet action scale .
I’ve posted these pics up in reverse order….. so the above is a before - the top post is after. Looks like the Shadows got stuck in and fried a Nova and a White star for minimal losses.
Given the trajectory of this Avioki it looks like it never made it to the last turn either. This is fun. Kind of like forensic ballistics.
Yeah this lumbering Omega isn’t turning anywhere so if it isn’t in the shots above looks like it was the first casualty of the engagement and those brutal slicer beams.

I often run the Hyperions as the assault version as I find the full version lackluster in the Third Age fleet. Either way this ship is clearly the start of the trail of Shadow Mayhem.
There it is, the flock of victims with a shadow vessels (young) on either side.

The army of light list laid out. Looks like I wasn’t the Shadows this time. Makes sense - whoever I was playing this day had enough fun to come back.
In the time between my first go and now I’ve picked up a sweet space mat. Looks pretty good like this. I’m going to die on the hill that the board looks better with fleet action scale ships so there is more of a sense of distance and emptiness.
