'Liebster Awards' (where we get to highlight blogs we like)

Liebster AwardI've been 'busy' recently - in that way you feel busy all the time when you REALLY just need you holiday. But I have my holiday now - so no excuses!

I am sure everyone on on the internet now either has received this award or at least knows what it is.  Initially - it's chain letter aspects (cf Von Neuman machines) were a little off putting but I read how Craig put things on his blog and liked how it gives a us a chance to point out what we like to read on blogs that other may not have had a chance to see yet.

So without further ado:

Here are the rules. Clearly I fail at rules because I haven't even done rule 1. and rule 4. Is very late.
The first person to pass this on to me was PCJohnstone, who like me, is in to a wide range of wargames. He has put the effort into getting up some great battle reports too.
1.       Copy and paste the award on to your blog linking it to the blogger who has given it to you.
2.       Pass the award on to your top 5 favourite blogs with less than 200 followers by leaving a comment on one of their posts to notify them that they have won the award and listing them on your own blog.
3.       Sit back and bask in the warm fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing you have made someone’s day!
4.       There is no obligation to pass this onto someone else, but it’s nice if you take the time to do so.
I am LOTR/Hobbit theming my 'awards' and (like Craig) paring down my list of pointers to 2. As just about everyone I read has already been nominated. In fact these guys have probably been nominated too but, like me, didn't advertise. If so, twice never hurt anyone.

My Photo1. Llama's War of the Ring. Why? Well it's a LOTR blog. More than that though, it is a LOTR blog where he is constantly working on some form of homebrewed/converted/repurposed models and figures for his War of the Rings armies. He is clearly loving his hobby and putting out some really cool stuff. Some of it I would never think of - Mantic Zombies as foot soldiers for Angmar!

Welcome to my blog!
2. Dramatic Katastases. Why? Not just a LOTR blog - though he has heaps of great looking WOTR armies and scenery - the blogger plays a range of wargames and periods. A wargamer's wargamer, as it were.

There we go. Short and to the point. Happily holidays everyone! Hope you all get a break, some wargaming related presents, and some space to paint/play with them in amidst everything else going on!

  1. Thanks, mate!

This was a nice little Christmas present to receive, kind words are always warming!

And Panagiotis is a WELL deserved nominée.

Although I am reluctant to the thing itself (chain-letter idea, which you also noted), the result of different somewhat smaller blogs getting new readers (and then also new blogs themselves can follow!) is indeed something good. Not to mention we get to hear some really positive things! :)
